Society of St. Vincent De Paul - St. Mary's Conference

The Vincentian Vocation

The vocation of the Society’s members, who are called Vincentians, is to follow Christ through service to those in need and so bear witness to His compassionate and liberating love. Members show their commitment through person-to-person contact. Vincentians serve in hope.

Operating Hours: We are currently working with neighbors over the phone. Our operating hours to serve those needing assistance are twice a week, Monday and Thursday, 9:30 AM to 11 AM. Neighbors may leave a voicemail or text anytime at 740-637-0332 stating their need and name, and we will contact them when we are next open. While we are still only working with neighbors over the phone, we are very anxious to return to the in-person ministry which is so vital to our vocation. We will continue to monitor the level of hazard associated with COVID-19 here in Ross County and literally open our doors as soon as practical.

Services Rendered: Typical support that we can provide for families in need, or direct them to other agencies better able to help, includes help with utility bills, food, clothing, shoes, gasoline, birth certificates/IDs/drivers licenses, auto repairs and prescription medications. We generally are not able to help with rent due to limited funds. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul also runs a low-interest micro-loan program, with loans up to $1,000, for neighbors with qualifying needs, usually car repairs or a home improvement.
